Economics dept shows the way

PATNA: Even as most postgraduate departments of Patna University are still collecting application forms from students for admission to the M A, M Sc and M Com previous course, the economics department has already started classes of the fresh batch.
However, admission of students to the fresh batch of economics department is yet to be finalised.
Head of PU economics department N K Chaudhary said that to avoid unnecessary delay in completion of courses of studies of the students to be admitted to the current academic session (more than a month has already passed) the classes were started on July 31 itself.
All students who have applied for admission to the M A (previous) course and who have got marks above the cut-off marks of last year were allowed to attend the classes. Consequently, a good number of students were attending the classes regularly.
Chaudhary claimed that the list of students selected for admission would be displayed on Thursday and the admission work would be completed on Friday. The last day for submission of admission forms in different departments of PU ended on Wednesday.
